This week has been awesome. Not sure if anyone drove by or tried to come to the store after 5 p.m. on Monday night, but we closed a little early for some grilling on the sidewalk. That eventually turned into a game of wiffle ball home run derby in the middle of Roland Ave. Apologies if you tried driving through at that time. We certainly tested the brake pads of many vehicles.
On to booze news... Just got in the Sam Adams homebrew contest winners 6-pack, called "Longshot." It's not one particular beer, but rather 3 different winners from their annual contest. Included are an Imperial IPA, Traditional Bock, and a Cranberry Wit. I haven't tried any yet, but I'm anxious to and I just may do so tonight. I'll leave feedback on what I think.
Now that I think about it, I really hope these beers are good. A Friday night with good beer and watching Matt Weiters make his big league debut with a 3 Grand Slams would cap off a great week.
